Calgary has the largest selection of luxury homes in the city, with $1 million-plus listings in more than 50 neighbourhoods. This quadrant extends south from the Bow River downtown, and straddles the Elbow River and Glenmore Reservoir. Buyers looking for newer homes surrounded by green space will find a lot to choose from here, as will those in search of classic Old City estates.

Calgary luxury real estate is perhaps best typified by the southwest's oldest neighbourhoods, which include Mount Royal, Elbow Park, Britannia, and Bel Aire. Many homes here date back to the early 20th century, and come in a wide variety of beautiful tudor and neo-colonial designs. Country club neighbourhoods and high-end condo developments are also spread throughout Southwest Calgary. The SW quadrant's newest communities, including Aspen Woods, Discovery Ridge, Springbank Hill, and The Slopes, also have many luxury listings.
